Temazcal Ceremony | Shaman Guided

Temazcal, translated as “house of heat,” an ancient ceremony led by a shaman, guided to purify the body and mind, heal the sick, or provide a spiritual haven for connecting with spirit and nature. Originating from the Indigenous peoples of Mesoamerica, Mexico has understood the benefits of a Temazcal ceremony for centuries.
Taking the strength of the volcanic stones and inhaling the aromas of medicinal herbs, you will go through 4 stages of purification, thereby approaching bodily and spiritual harmony. Part sweat lodge/part-sacred ritual, participants have reported feeling physically, emotionally and mentally healthier after a guided Temazcal ceremony.
While every ritual is different, ceremonies can last around two hours, guided by a shaman-led series of gratitude, wholeness and chanting.

Mayan Cacao Ceremony | Shaman Guided

Cacao was cultivated by the Mayans more than 2500 years ago... it was an intrinsic part of ancient Mayan and Aztec life, not just as a beverage or food, but as a pillar of their economies and an integral part of their religions, appearing in numerous spiritual ceremonies.

Noted as the "food of the gods', the medicinal use of cacao, or chocolate, both as a primary remedy and as a vehicle to deliver other medicines, originated in the New World and diffused to Europe in the mid 1500s.

The main advantage of cocoa is the enzymes of happiness contained in it, as well as a large number of micro-elements that improve the body's resistance.
The ancient Maya believed that during the ceremony, people can communicate with spirits and Gods, heal from illnesses or solve a complex life problem, we can get in touch with our personal wisdom, we connect with the love that resides in us, we get in tune with nature and the Universe.
With song, music and dance, the cacao ceremony is a two hour event guided by a shaman-led series to native healing - with the use of nature's elements, ancestral pre-hispanic instruments to soothe the heart, soul and spirit to raise consciousness to feel exuberant in happiness.

Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve

A sublime area of natural beauty, Sian Ka'an means 'origin of the sky'... known as the Amazon of North America - the biosphere reserve contains tropical forests, mangroves and marshes, as too a large marine intersected by a barrier reef.
One of the rare places where you can get close-up with the wildlife of the Riviera Maya, without animal captivity. The diverse wildlife, crystal ocean waters and snug mangroves create an epic experience for bird watching, dolphins, turtles, rays and manatees in the open waters.
The delicate ecosystems the park protects is the main reason Sian Ka'an Biosphere is an UNESCO World Heritage site... home of thousands of species of flora and fauna, 300 species of birds, 400 species of fish, 100 animals species and 40 species of amphibians.

By far, we consider this to be one of the best locations in the Riviera Maya for wildlife watching, snorkeling in preserved coral reefs. and sunset views. No amount praise can do justice to the beauty of Sian Ka'an, it must be experienced!

Muyil Ruins Tulum

Muyil is the modern name used to refer to this archaeological site, the common name would be known as Chunyaxché. This site is located within the northwest boundaries of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere. Muyil Ruins is small, lush, and has few circulating visitors.

Muyil is the most notable of the 22 pre-Hispanic settlements of the Sian Ka’an - a densely populated settlement during the pre-Hispanic era. The settlement is situated 12 kilometres inland from the Caribbean shoreline with a boardwalk to Muyil Lagoon, heightened by spectacular views of Laguna Muyil and the jungle.

Muyil, mainly of a civic-religious and residential nature, located in the Petén Basin is a geographical sub-region of Mesoamerica, the center of what 'was and is' the Maya civilizations.
Muyil is said to be settled around 300 B.C., centuries before Chichen Itza, Uxmal and Tulum. It remained as a settlement up until the time of the Spanish invasion in the 16th Century where people either fled from the Spanish out of fear or were killed from diseases spread by the Spanish.
The Maya Forests are the second-largest remaining tropical rainforest in the Americas, expanding from southeastern Mexico to northern Guatemala. Documented history indicates the site’s proximity to Muyil Lagoon made it an important maritime trade route, with relations to Coba. an archaeological ruined town we will be visiting.

Ceiba Trees are located throughout the site. Alux (spirits) are thought to watch the trails, protecting those in the area. Known as the “tree of life,” Ceiba trees are believed to be the connection to the underworld for the Maya.
Extending across 38 hectors of jungle, we stroll through some of the most exquisite archaeological buildings to set-your-eyes upon, taking you back into a time, only to be imagined.
We will travel through the lagoons of Muyil and Chunyaxche including the ancient canal system dredged by the Maya that accessed the Caribbean Sea through Laguna Campechen and Boca Paila.
In sincerity, Muyil needs to be experienced, not read about, to truly appreciate this site. Surrounded by the calls of howler monkeys, it is nothing short of magic, mystique, awe-inspiring views, fauna, crystal waters, cultured lessons, archaeology and animal inhabitants.

Coba Ruins and Cenote Swimming

Visit temples and the legendary ballgame of this majestic archaeological site. Coba means ‘waters stirred by the wind’, an appropriate Mayan name as this settlement is surrounded by two large lagoons. This Mayan site is still largely unexcavated making it a true wonder in the Yucatan.
You will enjoy shaded walkways that are the original sacbe (white roads), three settlements that show the architecture and vast area of this once large city, 2 ball courts and climb the highest Mayan pyramid in the Yucatan, Nohoch Mul.

Our day at Coba will include walking the site and taking advantage of the Coba bicycle rentals. What makes this site different from Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, or even Tulum is that Coba is not a single site, but a large group of sites connected to the central pyramid, connected by over 16 Mayan ceremonial “white roads” (sacbéob).
The unique landscape of the Yucatan Peninsula has made it the place to see this underground river system as an explorer. Every single cenote has unique features in and of themselves. Some cenotes are true caverns with an overhead environment. Some cenotes are open to the environment an feel like a giant swimming pool.
What truly makes each cenote unique is what lies underneath the surface. This is what defines and differentiates one cenote to another. It is what lies beneath the surface that makes each and every location unique and incomparable to another
We too will explore two nearby cenotes, Choo Ha and Tamchaha... a short 10 minute drive from the ruins main entrance. The cenotes are located to the west of Coba village where contemporary Maya live year round. Choo-ha in the Mayan language means “dripping water and Tankach-ha, means in Mayan language “deep water”. Swimming in Cenote Choo-Ha and Tankach-Ha is a relaxing and refreshing moment, especially appreciated after visiting the mayan ruins of Coba.

Nada Brahma Sound Healing

Nada Brahma Sound Healing fine-tunes our auditory receptors to receive the purest cosmic sound of Om in it's unadulterated state.
Nada (vibration) is the first audible sound, the primal roar, resounding flow that heralds the beginning of the evolutionary process where all of creation is manifested from the unmanifested - the center where energy and matter radiate.
Brahma (creator God) is the creative power that animates one’s divine consciousness with the power to move the heart. Nada Brahma creates a brain wave, noted as Brahmacharya (behavior leading to Brahma) via altering the stem of the brain to balance and moderate the senses to guide us to our higher inherited power.

Our Nada Brahma Sound Healing experience, designed to close our last night together will show you the right you have to use energy and how to direct your energy consciously and responsibly.
